Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) will host Seizing the Moment: Faith-Based Philanthropy and the SDGs in Asia as part of The Rockefeller Foundation's AsiaXchange, convened alongside the World Bank–IMF Annual Meetings to advance a shared vision for Building the Shared Future.

As global development finance faces severe constraints, Asia’s vast faith-based giving traditions offer a powerful yet largely, untapped potential to bridge the rising climate and SDG financing gaps. This session brings together multilateral development banks, faith leaders, and philanthropic pioneers to unlock catalytic, non-debt capital—from Islamic waqf and zakat to interfaith networks—for green infrastructure and local resilience.

Join global experts across diverse traditions to explore a new generation of market-tested operational models, bridge community capital with formal policy, and translate this innovative emerging approach into immediate, practical action across developing and vulnerable Asia.
